Hanover Quay, Dublin

  • Hanover Quay, designed by O'Mahony Pike Architects (OMP), is one of the largest docklands developments. Once a gasworks, the site stretches back from Liffy quayside to the banks of Grand Canal Dock. It is a mixed development of 13 block 4 to 8 storey high and accomodating 292 one to three bedroom aparments with basement carpark, a creche, retail units, a pub and restaurent. The buildings looking directly onto the river contain two lower floors of office/retail units and upper floors of apartments with large balconies, some of which are "winter gardens" with glazed sliding screens.

    Royal Canal Park, Palletstown, Dublin

  • Balymore Construction Projects Ltd., first became involved in major residential developments in the 1990's when they constructed mixed developments in London's Canary Wharf. Ballymore's broad experience was a key factor in developing the brief for the "residential town centre" which is completed at the Royal Canal Park. The brief was developed within Dublin County Council guidelines, based on medium rise accoodation with careful planning of facilities, integration with existing rail infrastructure and use of canal as an amenity. The overall plan for develoment incorporates, modern well-serviced housing, underground and surface parking, creche facilities, commercial areas, gym and leisure facilities, bus and rail links, cycle lanes, community facilities and landscaped green spaces and walkways.

    Mount St. Annes, Milltown, Dublin

  • Park Developmets stylish Mount St. Anne's apartments in Milltown, has been the focus of much attention since it's construction. Built in Precast; structure of Mount St. Anne's has become the most talked about developments in Dublin. The curved layout of the buildings, and large open areas in the internal structure, have created the luxurious and attractive feel to the apartments. Incorporating one and two bedroom units, in four and six storey blocks, the structural frame is constructed in Precast concrete. The project is considered as a model for future developments in terms of it's overall efficiency and quality of the end product. Designed by O/Mahony Pike Architects, each apartment block has a gently curved facade with curved balconies, giving the precast construction an elegent free flowing appearance.

    The Grange, Blackrock, Dublin

  • The Grange is prestigious new apartment development located on an 11.3 acre site between Stillorgan, Foxrock and Blackrock on Dublin's south side. Aimed at high income end of the market, the 700 unit development offers contemporary living style with pethouse views over Dublin Bay.

    Nutgrove Retail Park, Dublin

  • Nutgrove Retail Park is an unusual combination of structures, due to requirements of the retailers. This is a collection of larger stores such as Aldi, Harvey Norman along with a fitness and garden centre. To achieve the large plan open areas that these retailers required, precast beam and column frame was used. For longer spans, the precast prestressed roof girders were used of about 36m span, and Grid Jumper beams were used to reduce the requirement for columns, which would have reduced the usable floor area.
